February 6-8
The eventful Capacity Middle East held in Dubai from February 6th to 8th brought together industry leaders and innovators to address pressing issues in international communications. Among the highlights was the i3Forum hosted breakfast with the GLF, where Philippe Millet, Chair of i3Forum, and Christian Michaud, Vice-Chair, shared exciting updates. These included the imminent launch of One Consortium to restore trust, the formation of a new cloud numbering workgroup, the establishment of regional chapters, and other key initiatives. GLF then held a signing ceremony for the updated Voice Fraud Code of Conduct developed jointly by GLF and i3Forum to combat voice fraud, underscoring our joint commitment to integrity in telecommunications.
Moreover, i3Forum announced a strategic collaboration with GSMA and GLF to restore trust in international communications, working with the National Regulatory Authorities globally to combat illegal and unwanted voice calls and messages originating from abroad (e.g. spamming, spoofing, and robocalling…).
Throughout the event, Philippe Millet moderated two panels emphasizing the critical need for industry-wide collaboration in combating fraud, particularly in areas such as AIT and SMS traffic pumping.
