Webinar:
Who's Really Calling?
Spam & Scam challenges across international voice networks
May 5th, 2026
2 sessions
9AM CET and 3PM CET
In the evolving landscape of international voice calls, consumers today receive calls not just from individuals, but also from various applications, platforms, and automated systems. While many of these calls are legitimate, a growing number are associated with fraudulentschemes, aggressive marketing, or spam – all of which pose risks to consumers and undermine trust in global voice communications.
To address these concerns, national regulators have introduced protective measures to curb fraud and spam. However, each country’s unique regulatory approach has resulted in fragmented requirements, making it challenging for international transit carriers to implement uniform call-handling policies. This complexity risks both consumer disruption and the inadvertent blocking of legitimate calls.
This webinar will explore:
– Regulatory Perspectives: Understanding the complexity of global regulatory frameworks on voice fraud.
– Classification Challenge: Do all stakeholders define “genuine,” “spam,” and “scam” calls in the same way?
– Carrier Role: How can international transit carriers support the ecosystem in identifying and reducing fraudulent calls?
